Creating investment & development opportunities across the South Coast
    FacebookTwitterLinkedIn

Welcome to the first edition of the Coastal West Sussex (CWS) Partnership newsletter, designed to keep you informed about our activities that support the growth of the coastal economy.

Working closely with businesses, local authorities, education institutions and other partners, we are one of five Area Partnerships that contribute to Coast to Capital, the Local Enterprise Partnership which was recently tasked by government to produce a Strategic Economic Plan.

CWS offers exciting opportunities for growth and has some excellent development and regeneration sites that can deliver new employment space, new housing and revitalise our town centres.

These sites have the potential to transform the area's economy, bringing new jobs and homes which are desperately needed if we are to create an additional 8000 jobs by 2020 just to keep the employment rate at the current 75% - to improve that picture we will need to create more jobs. The two largest development opportunities will come from Enterprise Bognor Regis (EBR) and the Shoreham Harbour Regeneration area.

2014 will undoubtedly bring new opportunities and challenges and you can keep up to date with our news and events listings online at www.coastalwestsussex.org.uk

Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes or kidney disease. The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family.

Arrange for the prevention assessment team to come to your business and undertake free NHS healthchecks for you and your employees. You will be better prepared for the future and be able to take steps to maintain
    or improve everyone's health.

Lancing printer beats the big boys to scoop coveted Business Award

Ocean Press Printers scored a major success last week by scooping the highly-coveted ‘People’s Choice’ award at the Adur & Worthing Business Awards 2013.

The Lancing-based printer squared up to and beat off competition from major companies like Barclays Bank, Southern Water and Brighton & Hove Albion FC to the award, by winning the most votes in its category.

“Having started Ocean Press from nothing 17 years ago, it really does mean so much that our customers and suppliers think we are worthy of the award enough to give up their valuable time to vote for us,” said Ocean Press Managing Director, Kim Hayes. “We genuinely care about our customers.”

Across the whole awards process a total of 72 companies competed in 18 different awards categories, ranging from Start Up Business to Best Large Business. In these categories, panels of judges decided upon the eventual winners. The ‘People’s Choice’ award, on the other hand, was solely based upon votes received from the general public and the business community, making it one of the most highly-prized accolades of the evening.

Ocean Press work with customers from small independent businesses to large multinational corporations, delivering a range of print products to clients all over the UK and mainland Europe.
