    Assertiveness 1 day workshop


    The appropriate use of assertive behaviour enables people to deal with work situations and personal contacts in a manner that is productive, yet maintains and improves relationships.

    Our I day interactive workshop will help delegates identify how the correct use of body language and voice control and being able to communicate calmly, can be used to their advantage and will improve their professional image.

    Understand when to use assertive behaviour and when to offer a more flexible approach, manage others expectations and be confident to defend your position.

    The next course will be running Wednesday 22nd October and cost £175.

    ILM Level 3 in First Line Management


    The ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management aims to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by developing basic management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager. This qualification builds on the ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management, and broadens the skills and knowledge in a flexible and practical way.

    Topics that we cover in the 17 week course are:

    1. Understanding Leadership
    2. Understand how to establish an effective team
    3. Understand how to motivate to improve performance
    4. Contributing to innovation and creativity in the workplace
    5. Understanding Quality Management in the workplace
    6. Understanding Costs and budgets
    7. Solving problems and decision making
    8. Understanding Marketing for managers

    The classes run from 6pm-9pm every Thursday during term time and costs £490.

    This course has very high success rates of over 90% and learners will benefit from working with other students from a wide variety of business sectors.

    This is not an examination based course but there are 8 written assignments-one for each topic and they always relate back to your work experience.

    Teamsport Lancing Karting Grand Prix



    The Teamsport Lancing Karting Grand Prix is back for the final time in 2014. Alverstone Autos are the reigning champions after a superb drive in the last event making them the first name to appear on our lancing GP cup!

    The event will be staged on Monday 8th September at 7.30pm at the usual price of £99 + VAT/team (of up to 4 drivers).  The format will be a 15 minute Practice/Qualifying session followed by a 1 ½ hour flat out race with drivers only stopping for driver changes and penalties.

    Rodelta Pumps UK Ltd are currently looking to develop some office space to let on short-long term basis with flexible terms. The offices are in a prominent and convenient location on the Business Park, being part of the old Interlink building on the corner of Commerce Way and Marlborough Road.

    The area comprises the following:

    Shared entrance hall
    Office 1 – 420 ft2
    Office 2 – 336 ft2 (There is potential to knock office 1 & 2 together, a doorway will have to be created between offices 1&2, but we can be flexible on where this is located.)

    Additional storage areas are available if required.

    Notice from Enviropower

    Following the recent issues at the Enviropower Ltd site where a pressure relief valve has prematurely operated, concern has been caused to some members of the public. Enviropower would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and following an internal investigation are replacing this valve. During the set up process of the new valve it will be necessary to operate it a number of times to verify its performance, this will be conducted on 10/7/14 between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm. During this time noise and steam will be released from the site, Enviropower will keep this activity to a minimum and apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused during this process.

    Freedom Powerchairs provide a service of building bespoke mobility aids and powerchairs for disabled clients especially those with special needs. We also repair and service all scooters powerchairs etc.

    To help us fundraising our subsidiary Freedom Resource Recovery will dispose of waste pallets,  redundant IT equipment and seeks to recover value from any other redundant equipment or stock.
