IMPORTANT NOTICE - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Lancing Business Park Business Improvement District (BID) gives notice of the Annual General Meeting
Date: Thursday 8th December 2022
Time: 2:30pm until 4:00pm
At Iagos Cafe, Paula Rosa Manhattan Furniture, Marlborough Road
Businesses based on Lancing Business Park and Partner Organisations are invited to attend the 2022 LBP AGM, which will be held at Iagos Cafe, Paula Rosa Manhattan Furniture in Marlborough Road.
This is a chance to enjoy Iagos' wonderful cakes for free and hear an update from Martin Randall, Director for the Economy at Adur & Worthing Councils, regarding the Councils' Lancing Now and Into The Future Investment Project.
Please register to attend this meeting so that you can meet the LBP Team and find out more about LBP's projects and progress.
The AGM is an open meeting, however only members (companies based on the business park) are allowed to vote on motions and there is a strict ruling of one vote per member. The AGM will be run in accordance with BID best policy, and will elect the Members of the Advisory Committee for the forthcoming year.
The Lancing BID team will comprise of one member of staff (BID Manager) who will be responsible for delivering the aims, projects and aspirations of LBP. The BID Manager reports to the LBP Advisory Committee (up to a maximum of 15 members) the composition of the Advisory Committee will include businesses paying the BID levy and non-voting representatives from advisory organisations:
• The Directors
• At least one Member representative from each area of the six roads on LBP:
Blenheim Road
Chartwell Road
Commerce Way
Marlborough Road
Peter Road
Spencer Road
• Members from Adur & Worthing Councils and Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce
• The BID Manager
Applications are invited for any person wishing to stand for election as a Member of the Advisory Group. A notice signed by a Member qualified to vote at the Annual General Meeting should be sent to Lancing Business Park Ltd. The notice must state their intention to propose their nomination for appointment and must be accompanied by a notice signed by the nominee of his/her willingness to be appointed. The closing date for receipt of nominations is Thursday 1st December 2022.
