Back in 2024, Scout Store secured planning permission to demolish their current site at 75 Marlborough Road and build a state-of-the-art new headquarters.
The time has now come to put these plans into action and therefore Scout Store has moved everything to a temporary new home in Shoreham. This has enabled full handover of their site this week to the Rabbit Group to commence the demolition programme, keeping the carbon footprint of these works to minimum and making the most of Inter-Park Trading.
This week hoardings are being erected around the site boundary, and an asbestos survey has been completed to determine what needs to be removed when and how.

Rabbit Group are carefully managing the process to minimise impact to other businesses on the park and will be using dust suppression measures on site, with water misting equipment during the works.
It’s expected that strip-out and physical demolition will commerce on 20th July, with the removal of the warehouse roof. This will be quickly followed by the demolition of the warehouse and then the office block.

The final stage will be removal of the building foundations and levelling the site ready for Rabbit to leave the site at the end of August.
Demolition work will be conducted between 8am and 5pm weekdays and Rabbit will try their best to minimise impact, but please can you bear with them as demolition is naturally noisy and dirty work.
There will also be some material crushing works on site from 10th August. All non-asbestos waste will be placed in 40-yard skips and then moved to Rabbit’s site in Chartwell Road for incineration in their Enviropower Energy from Waste Facility, to avoid landfill.
