Works Status: On Schedule

The weekend rain order was definitely delivered in gusto, and LBP is pleased to report this seems to have cleared the forecast for our final week of LBP Road Improvements.

On Friday night, FM Conway’s crew transformed the second section of Chartwell Road all the way around the bend, as well as catching up on the 20 metres at the end of the first section. The third section was also planed from the entrance to Chartwell Business Centre up to and including the entrance to Marlborough Road Car Park.

LBP would like to apologise to local residents ahead of this week’s works as we navigate around to sections of the park which are closer to residential roads. Tonight will unfortunately see a substantial number of extra vehicles parked on residential roads whilst the third section is resurfaced, removing vehicle access for both Chartwell Business Centre and the Marlborough Road Car Park.

The crews will also move on to plane the fourth section tonight, from the Marlborough Road Car Park up to the junction with Winston Road.

Please can all Chartwell Business Centre Customers and night workers who are unable to access their employee parking because of the road improvements, park off the business park just for tonight. If all goes to plan tonight, both these parking areas will be back in use tomorrow, restoring normal parking facilities on the park for the rest of the works.

Please can all drivers slow down on the park today to safeguard the newly laid surfaces and to safely cross the uneven planed area.  Traffic will also be directed the wrong way around the one-way system again tonight to enable the works, so please be aware that you may very well meet oncoming traffic. Thank you.
