"HEALTH IS YOUR BUSINESS".

"Health is your business". ....... project is trying to target the 40+ - 65 yr age group primarily for health screening and alerting individuals to lifestyle factors that make them more at risk of heart disease and cancer. There is no cost to the employer for the service, except allowing the time for the individuals to have a health check 1/2 hour appt / person for your staff. This is an exploratory project from Gov funding streams to tackle prevention and health inequality. Monies have come about because within certain areas of W Sussex statistics are proving that people are dying younger than compared to other areas within W Sussex and nationally. These areas are the deprived wards within W Sussex and a focus of this project is offering health checks particularly to manual, unskilled workers who may live in these wards. If doing health checks all I would need u isse of a room. The health screen involves lung function/ cholesterol/ blood glucose ( both via fingerprick)/ blood pressure/ and general lifestyle review to target cardiac risk factors. I am a nurse with dual RGN,RMN registration and experience within chronic disease management and health promotion within weight management. I am salaried by WSCC for this project although this project is a partnership with Arun, Adur, Worthing BC and West Sussex Primary Care Trust.
