Lancing Business Park BID Update
As you are aware our Business Improvement District (BID) initiative was successfully supported by the businesses on the Business Park when we voted yes in April 2008.
The Official Launch of the BID is in September 2008 but as the BID Levy notices will be posted later this month I thought it pertinent to update you with our progress to date and share with you some of our plans.
A copy of the business plan we produced to support the initiative is available upon request from Mike Botting whose contact details are below.
However to remind you our Projects are:
• Lancing Business park Safe
• Access Lancing Business Park
• Clean Up Lancing Business Park
• Connect Lancing Business Park
We have a management team in place to progress these projects and we thought you would like to know who is doing what for us, they are:
• Safe - Peter Tyler , Finecut Graphic Imaging and Iain Flitcroft, Manhattan Furniture
• Access – Mandy Bridson , Rabbit Group
• Clean Up – Chris Pullen , Eschmann Equipment
• Connect – Mike Punter , Parafix Tapes & Conversions and Mike Monk , Monk Marketing
and as part of the Connect Project the very important Recycling project –
Ken Green, Adur DC and Maurice Lee, Downlands Packaging
An important part of the Business Plan was communication; therefore we are planning a LBP Connect
Networking meeting in September in one of the buildings on the park to address the following topics:
• Project updates from each of the above teams
• An opportunity for LBP businesses to promote themselves to their neighbours on a table top exhibition
• Identify those businesses who are interested in pooling their purchasing power and create sub groups to manage by product or service
• Meet the current Management team and seek new members.
• Advise communication method going forward.
We will encourage some sponsors to support the cost of buffet and drinks and invite Splash FM to attend and report on this exciting development in Lancing.
